Who We Are

Friends Ministry, located in Lake City Michigan, is a 501(c)3 corporation.  We are a multifaceted ministry that provides emergency and long-term relief for the members of our surrounding communities.  Friends serves close to 800 low-income families a year by offering crisis relief and help reduce financial strain brought by car or home repairs, overdue utility bills, fuel to get to work, or other necessary living expenses.  Furthermore, with our Thrift Stores, we can offer discounted or vouchered clothing, housewares, or furniture.  Many also take advantage of our Barter Labor program in our community garden that allows individuals an opportunity to earn extra funds to put towards bills and expenses while finding purpose and value.  Through these programs and more Friends Ministry is known as a source of hope and encouragement.
